I read a piece in the New York Times recently about a woman who got a call from a grumpy cobbler. He left a message that ended with "enjoy your time," and her story was a reflection on the expression.
My problem? With the hot weather I turned on my shiny new mini split to discover it puts out a piercing white light. It not only lights the room at night, but also reflects off mirrors and glass and projects a digital readout of the temperature into the dark woods outside.
The solution: a new sculpture made entirely of found objects that I call, "Enjoy Your Time."
Three stars and three gold watches. One for each of my living children. And a star for my son Zafer, who I dearly hope enjoyed his time with us...
Somehow you pack it all in. How, I don't know. Way to stay creative!
A compelling trifecta of form, function, and family!
